Letter from the Principal:
Welcome to Jeffco Transition Services (JTS). I am excited to be a part of Jeffco Schools and Jeffco Transition Services in the role of Assistant Director of Special Education and Principal of JTS! I have a passion for helping students with special abilities achieve their aspirations in living life as independently as possible! JTS is blessed to work with over 100 students from ages 18-21 to assist transitions into adulthood. We have amazing opportunities for all students with all kinds of abilities! We serve our students through several of our different programs to include Fletcher-Miller Community School, Hub classrooms, and Community Classrooms. We also have several different work programs for students such as Project Search, Step Up, and Jeffco Works to assist our student in transitioning into employment.
I was born and raised in Enid, OK. I spent 15 years teaching Special Education in Florida, Oklahoma, and Colorado. My past 3 years have been spent in Special Education Administration. I received my Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) in Sociology with minors in Juvenile Justice and Corrections, Social Work, and Criminology. I obtained my Master of Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and my Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
I live in Bailey, CO with my husband (Kyle), daughter (Ellie),Son (Beaudie), St. Bernard (Moose), and multiple chickens! My children are also involved in Jeffco schools as students! When I am not working with our amazing teams, I enjoy hiking, skiing, BRAVO, cooking, and anything with my family.
