Past and Present Community Partners
Throughout their programming, students have the opportunity to work with a variety of community partners, including:
Partnering with JTS
The benefits of becoming a community partner include forging important connections with your community and supporting the growth and skill development of the incoming workforce.
Jeffco Transition Services students have the potential to be dedicated, experienced employees who know the ins and outs of your business.
- Work-study students are supported on-site by a job coach from Jeffco Public Schools.
- Most work-study sites host around three students at a time.
- All students are covered by Jeffco liability insurance in case of an accident or emergency.
- We encourage partners to treat students just like they would another employee. Give them directions, advice or critiques as needed. The job coach will be there to support you.
- We will coordinate with you to make a schedule that works for everyone.
Rise Up Cafe
The Rise Up Cafe started in January 2023. The cafe is located in the Jeffco Education Center, 1829 Denver West Drive and provides an opportunity for students to learn job skills under the direction of Jeffco staff.
